Krakow

Kraków is a city located in southern Poland on the Vistula river, as the second largest city in Poland both with reard to population and surface area. It is a former capital of Poland, Royal Capital City and burial place of Polish kings, as well as the capital of the Małopolska Region. The ancient, royal city of Kraków is a unique symbol of Polish national identity. Enchantingly picturesque, rich in relics of all epochs, it represents the thousand-year-long history of the Polish nation.

In Krakow you can admire many different styles of architecture, unique Romanesque objects, monumental Gothic edifices, and masterpieces by some of the most outstanding architects of the Renaissance and Baroque period. Krakow has always been a centre of Polish culture and science.

ICE Congres Center is located on the right side of the river (Wisla). Top part of west side of the ICE is visible close to the right plan edge, in the farther distance on this camera view. ICE almost meets the right-side anchorage (foundation) of the bridge you see down the river. The large building complex with defence walls on the left river bank - is the Royal Castel where Polish kings and queens have their principal residence up to 1606, before moving the state capital for good to Warsaw. The ICE Congress Center located approximately 800 meter downstream the river right bank, has unobstructed view overlooking the Royal Castel on the other side of the river.
